Who is Humble Enough to Hear the Story of Jesus?
Matthew 26:1-16 1. The meaning of Jesus’s death is the crucial question of your life. A. Jesus identifies his death with the blood of the Passover lamb. Ex. 12:1-13 B. Jesus is saying shows that he is in control and unsurprised of his coming death. John 10:17-18; Revelation 13:8; Eph. 1:3-7 2. You must see Jesus’s death along the line that he intends for it. 3. Denying the true meaning of Jesus’s death is banal—empty, boring, even uninteresting. A. Unbelief is man-centered. B. Unbelief is “common-sense-centered.” C. Unbelief shows fake piety. D. Unbelief is bought-off. 4. The world’s currency can’t account for worship. An act that shows the infinite worth of Jesus is worth the expense! 5. Spiritual heroes help us see the whole line of faith.
