CloseMatthew 25:31-46 We need an ability to feel the force of the future in the present. A. Jesus’s return is certain. B. Jesus’s return will be a planned change from his first coming. C. Jesus’s second coming will be war-like. D. Jesus’s second coming is a final reckoning. E. Jesus’s second coming is universal. There is no escaping the jurisdiction of the Son of Man. F. Jesus’s second judgment is stark. There is no muddled middle! 1. You must humble yourself and receive the gift prepared for you. 2. Good deeds are an external sign of internal spiritual change. The most clear or pure evidence that we are alive is when we produce the fruit of mercy towards those who have nothing with which to repay us! 3. Identify and love those who can return nothing for your kindness. 4. Jesus loves the church for which he died; you should too. The sheep are saved by a “golden ladder” of grace.
