The Only Foundation You’ll Ever Need
Colossians 2:6-10 1. Grow in the Lord . . . a. Remember your new birth. b. Center the identity of Christ. Your identity, special and valuable as it is, is not enough to uphold you in low valleys, not enough to sweeten life’s difficulty. You are not enough for you; Christ is enough for you. c. Seek progress that is steady. d. Build on permanent theology. Eph. 2:19-22; Col. 1:23; Rev. 3:12 e. Don’t separate personal faith and convictional knowledge. f. Live from a low position. It is hard to say thank you for something that you “deserved.” philosophia: 2. Be aware of “way of life” recommendations. 3. Be “captive” according to Christ.
