A Perfect and Permanent Purpose for Your Life
Romans 8:28-30 1. Lay down what you feel on the sturdy table of what you know. 2. The final state, the fulfillment of all things is good. As J.R.R. Tolkien said, "The birth, death and resurrection of Jesus means that one day everything sad will come untrue." What does this state of blessing look like? From the human side, loving God. From the divine side, calling people in his purpose. 3. God is the one who makes you love God! Paul clarifies that to be a lover of God is to be one called according to His purpose - and vice versa! -It is not your strength of love that will keep you in his purpose - and keep all things working together for your good. -It is His strength of purpose that will keep you in His love - and keep all things working together for your good. a. God wanted you before you did anything worth wanting. b. God destined you to match the pattern of Jesus. c. God Christ to be made more glorious by having His people surround Him. 4.
