love of God and heart transformation.
The Sun and the Moon / The Lamp and the Glow-in-the-Dark Ball Verses 25–29 gives two answers to the one who thinks the law must be
salvation’s source:
1. The principle of law is perfect obedience.
2. God acts in the gospel to save his people.
The sign must “count“ by pointing to a true inner reality.
3. God has always been after the heart.
The circumcision of the heart (Dt. 10:12-21).
Application Questions
What is my confidence? “The Holy Spirit is working on my heart:
cutting, softening, changing.”
Am I trying to earn anything? “I just love God’s delight; I love his
pleasure and joy. I love what he loves.”
