A Centrifugal Gospel: How the Gospel Goes to the Ends of the Earth

Romans 15:19-24 1. God does the work through humans-in-full. -The Christian should draw purpose and identity from the fact that it is truly you —a human, a child of God— that is God’s means for this purpose. -The Christian should draw confidence and peace from the fact that it is God who originates the work, who qualifies us, for it, who empowers us in it. 2. We all share in a common calling to preach the gospel. Churches plant churches; churches send missionaries. 3. As a Christian, through your church, engage the work of frontier missions – including and especially “gospel deserts.” Gospel desert: 4. Missions is the heartbeat of the Bible. a. Missions is how the gospel got to you! b. Missions is how local church continues to grow and remain in health. The work of the Servant who bore our sin, is completed in the Spirit-filled work of his children. 5. When it comes to frontier, “first-time” missions, you should name names, not slogans.
