Search Out Sin, and Stand on the Rock

Psalm 19 1. All goodness begins in God. 2. Beauty begets curiosity. When was the last time you were awestruck? Do you have good capacity for wonderment? We can never learn all that we know about God without his words, unless he spoke to us (Deuteronomy 5; Romans 1). 3. God is One and he is creator; fittingly, he speaks to all places and all people of his power and nature through his creation. Notice and enjoy the ordinary and the everyday. 4. Treasure the warning and pursue the reward! “Hamartiology” (doctrine of sin) in Psalm 19: -Some sins you will struggle to see clearly. -Ask God to forgive you even for the hard-to-find sins. -Ask God to help you avoid the automatic, easy sins. -Ask God to reduce sin’s power to tempt you towards this easy injustice. 5. Yield yourself to God and beg that the actions of the mind and mouth would please him! 6. We would never be acceptable in his sight if he were not a Redeemer.
