1 John 2:12-17
1. Within the “children” of the church are fathers and young men.
“children” =The whole church
“fathers” = Spiritual
“young men” = Spiritual
2. God considers our tiny and time-bound experience.

A. We all rejoice in forgiveness, for the sake of his great name.
B. As we “know,” more actively and more completely, our Lord in
various aspects of life, we become greater spiritual parents.
C. As we use our strength of will, time, and energy, we become
greater spiritual youths.
3. The abiding word in a strong one who is busy in the battle
produces a spiritual parent full of wisdom.
4. What you truly “know,” you love; what you truly love, you know.
5. The flesh, eyes, and pride mask the impermanence of the world.

6. Salvation solves the problem of permanence.
