Earthly Good From A Heavenly Mindset
Colossians 3:1-4 1. Beware of your awareness. The Doctrine of Christ’s “Session” (1b) “Develop a mindset” phroneite / phronema 2. You must think about what is dead. -You are not spared death but participated in it through Christ (2 Cor 5:14-17). -Death, for all its evils, does cut off and end various cords and bonds of pain (Rom. 6:5-11). 3. You must think about what is alive. “My righteousness is in heaven.” - John Bunyan 4. You must think about what is coming. Parousia: Soon, everyone will think about it all, and no one will avoid it. 5. Glory is our location and the instrument of vindication.
