Romans 7:1-6 1. The Mosaic Covenant Law is not binding on you. “The Law”: Law in the broad sense or the “Law Covenant of Sinai” specifically -You are not bound by the law of the life in which you died. -You are bound by the law of the Lord Jesus in whom you live. Matt. 5:17-20; Gal. 6:2-5; Rom. 3:31 2. The law condemns your sinful past, but it cannot control your future. 3. Dying to the law is not comfortable. You can either die now in Christ or you’ll die later in your own body. 4. If you’re going to listen to the gospel at all, you must listen to it today. God’s writes his law on hearts by the Spirit not on paper with pen.
