Romans 15:8-13
1. In Christ, the servant is the real winner.
Christ used inside privilege to help those outside.
Christ fulfilled the full flow of all the Bible’s story.
Notice how Paul’s appeal here satisfies the flow of the text:
-The church must also see insiders use advantages for outsiders, remember what the things of the kingdom are.
-The promises to the patriarchs required the ingathering of the Gentiles.
The church, the broad assembly of blood-bought people has always been “Plan A.”
2. God brought in “outsiders” to glorify him; so should you.
-Jesus fulfills the OT expectation; when God provides for his people, prophets point toward more people.

3. God brought in “outsiders” to glorify him; such were you.
The world loves the salvation of those who need it the least; the gospel exults in saving “those who need it the most.”
4. You always have hope.
-God’s constant working produces continual hope.
-Your constant believing produces continual hope.
