Greater than Adam and Grander Than the Garden
Romans 5:12-17 What is sin? Where is sin? 1a. Sin is a power. 1b. Sin is a condemnation of guilt. 1c. Sin is a corruption of character. -Sin is abnormal; it does not fit God’s design and purpose in creation. -Sin is normal; it fits with every generation of human corruption and guilt. Death is the less-specific sign of our sin problem, while law is the more-specific sign of our sin problem. 2. Analyzing the bad news in Adam, prepares us for the good news in Christ. Typology is good news! tupos: 3. Unlike the wages of condemnation, salvation is a free gift! How is salvation in Christ different than condemnation in Adam and in myself? a. In the nature of its multiplication b. In the nature of its judgment. 4. Life in Christ keeps getting better. The abundant life that your soul needs starts face-to-face with Jesus.
