Romans 12:3-5
1. Grace readies us both to talk and to hear.
-the family of God
-the mercies of God
-“therefore”
2. You must know God’s mercy to humble yourself correctly.
Wise judgment disallows both pride and self-loathing.
3. God gives faith; faith includes gifts.
Christians are united: we all have thinking “corrected.”
Christians are diverse: we are guided by our individual gifts of grace.
What is the “measure of faith”?
metron:
4. The body of Christ directs our growth, channels our service, provides our aid, and confirms our confession.
Christians are the same: we have one body in which we all function.
Christians are different: we have individual functions.
5. Join the organic wholeness of a life-filled church.
Making us into a body was not a “useful adaptation” or a “plan B.”
Salvation requires a permanent state of wholeness, and God always intended for us to be one—and the bride of Christ.
Join us as we prayerfully study Paul’s Epistle to the Romans, a letter that has strengthened the church and enriched believers throughout church history.
