Covered Sins and Uncovered Eyes: The Grace of a Great God

Job 42 1a. Turn from your errors and sins. The Serious Business of Self-Esteem Verse 6 is hard to translate, and profitable to consider: “I despise and console myself in dust and ashes.” 1b. Your wrongs and sins did not turn history from its right plan. God is so great and his plan so perfect that the sins you turn from and despise produce outcomes you embrace and desire. The mistakes you would change produce results you would not. 2. Cover your errors and sins with atoning blood. -God’s mercy takes care of those pressed hard by others’ words. -God’s wrath is against oppressing those in misery. -God’s love provides the means and mediator to be right again. The Mediator at the End of Job -Prior glory restored (v. 10a) -Intercedes for his friends (v. 10b) -Greater glory granted (v. 10c) -Brothers and Sisters flock to him (v. 11a) -The eat bread in his house (v. 11b) -are his comfort after endurance (v. 11c) -bring treasures and gifts. (v. 11d) 3. God’s power and goodwill can double your earthly goods. 4. God’s power and goodwill will double your heavenly inheritance.
