Not Still, Not Silent: How God's Strength Is Shown at Christmas
Psalm 28 1. The continual works of God refresh the songs of his people. 2. God's people love... to lift up his saving actions on the comparisons of all nations. to lift up his saving actions on the consistency of his former promises. to expand into all nations and into new songs. to us the variety of creation - both instruments and nature to praise God. to long for the perfect, final justice of his rule. 3. God's unexpected actions bring forth surprising songs. 4. God "shows" and "tells." The revelation of his salvation describes the meaning of what he did. 5. God's strong actions matches up to what we have known and extends beyond what we could imagine. "remember"/zakar= refers to returning to/called back to 6. All things - even plants and animals - respond to God's entrance. 7. God's judgment is good news.
