“Faithful to the Faithless, Restoring the Traitor”
Malachi 2:10-17 1. The Father will judge between the children. 2. The Creator will “quality-control” the creation. barah / בָּרָא: Faithlessness feels “strategic” because its consequences are often delayed. 3. God is not aloof; he is merciful. “The holy things of the Lord” = 4. God does not heed those who sin with a high hand. Habakkuk 2:14 says “the righteous shall live by faith.” No one truly prays for grace, while planning to use it to commit more sin. 5. God will be faithful and save the faithless. 6. God makes marriages; God hates divorce. 7. Walk intentionally so that you do not wander faithlessly. -There is more treachery when there’s more intimacy. -The God of justice delayed, so that you could be saved.
